It’s not a secret… I love my Traeger. It is amazing in every way. Everything tastes better on it, which in turns makes you cooler for using it. Invest in one today (I receive zero kick backs LOL).
#TraegerGameDay challenge is going on (a series of 8 week recipes tackled by the Traeger community to kick of the season!). Week One’s recipe challenge was Jalapeno Poppers. My twist was adding smoked pulled pork and lightly brushing with BBQ sauce. If you like Jalapeno Poppers… you will LOVE them smoked. Get your smoke on.
Bacon Wrapped Smoked Jalapeno Poppers
Ingredients
- 12 jalapeno peppers
- 8 oz low fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 c pulled pork, shredded
- 2 T Traeger Rub
- 8 slices bacon, cut into thirds
- 1/4 c Traeger 'Que Sauce
Instructions
- Set Traeger temp to 180 degrees F and preheat for 15 minutes.
- Slice jalapenos in half lengthwise and scrape out any seeds and core.
- In a medium sized bowl, mix cream cheese, cheese, pulled pork, and Traeger Rub seasoning. Stuff jalapenos.
- Wrap with bacon and brush with BBQ sauce.
- Smoke for 30 minutes, increase grill to 375 degrees F and cook an additional 30 minutes.
